Generally when you are not using your PC, you keep it secure by locking it and then when you back you need to unlock it by entering the password. But if you feel this task is bit uneasy if you move out of your desktop quite frequently, then you should be trying out USB Raptor. USB Raptor is a free tool which allows you to lock your PC using a USB pen drive and also unlock it without entering the password. So once you have configured the app, it can lock your PC when you remove the USB pen drive which you have configured with the app and unlock the PC when you insert it back.
How to use USB Raptor to Lock or Unlock PC
- At first, download USB Raptor and extract the downloaded zip file.
- From the extracted files, click on the USB Raptor file icon to start the program.
- After the click, simple configuration window of USB Raptor. Here you have to do the settings to enable it.
- At the encryption section, type the password according to your wish for enabling USB Raptor program.
- Under the Unlock file creation section, select the USB drive which you want to use and then click on Create k3y file button.
- Now under the USB Raptor status section check “Enable USB Raptor” option.
- Once the USB Raptor is enabled on your PC, you will see the red color sign available under the USB Raptor status section will be changed in green color.
Even, a notification popup will also appear saying that “USB Raptor is Armed!, If you remove the USB drive the system will be lock“

So once its configured, It will be lock your Windows PC simply remove the USB Pen Drive and your computer will be locked and when you will again connect your USB Pen Drive to your computer it will be unlocked automatically.
