So today we talk about some extra free ways to advertise and promote your blog. After reading this article, you might think that I’m a attrctive blogger. If you think so. ! Whoa! You are absolutely right :D . Today I share some crazy stuff that I do to promote blog.  Let`s see the how you promote blog for free and effectively.

Ways for free Blog promotion which you not thinking of:

Make Use of the Facebook Covers.
Facebook cover picture feature is a great way to place your blog in an eye catching place on profiles. you can use any pic as cover pic to display. So it is good to advertise on that area.

Facebook cover are rising in popularity. Check your account right now and tell me how many invitations you got to join a page. I bet it’s a lot. Create a facebook page for your blog right now and start sharing it with other millions of facebook users. When requesting to join your cover, make sure you don’t spam because it can be really irritating. You can also set up your blog’s RSS Feed on the Page itself so that people can check out your posts without even visiting your blog.

Then try advertise on that area? I’m sure you will don’t want to miss a largespace on the Facebook.com domain. Do you? :)

While having a professional website for your business is #1 on the list for acing your online presence,  having a fantastic Facebook page is probably in the top 5. In fact, there are plenty of people who may see your Facebook page before they click through to your website – so don’t you want to make it impressive?

So go on and create a professional cover picture, add your blog address or blog name at the very bottom-right corner of it. Make sure the text stands out and roll it over to all the places you can.
You can use anyone of these websites to create cover picture for your Facebook fan page or profile.

Comment star.
When you see some awesome article on any site or blog and you like it, then it is good to comment to appreciate that article and indulge in discussion. You can also see some awesome comments that take your interest. There is no doubt that you will think about that comment and stare right at him.

So, go target an authority blog. -> Draw all the attention to you and your blog.I’ve written a post on Commenting on Other Blogs for love recently which you might want to read for a better view.
Keep these things in mind while you comment. It will be helpfull to you

Share some Music.
Sharing music can be awesome way to promote your blog or website. I’m sure you have your own collection of music albums or DJ songs on your PC and a bunch of friend. You can hopefully edit or set the information details of the music files with your computer. There are some software like mp3tag which you can use it to edit the music details and set new music cover.  Why don’t you then make use of that? Still confused? You wouldn’t be. Create a 250*250 image with your blog address under it and set it as the cover pic. Edit the comment from the tagline suiting your blog and you are done.

When next time you play the song, you will have your own music featured picture up and running on the player with your blog link.

Video Watermarking.
This one works exactly like sharing songs. There are many watermarking software out there you can download for free and use. consider taking advantage of the built-in watermark feature available in both ProShow Producer and ProShow Web. This is a great way to promote your blog and gain some movie guys as your readers.

If you do a search for “should I watermark my images” you’ll see that current pro-photography trends lean toward NOT adding a watermark to your photos. The primary reason given is that you want people to look at your images, not your logo. It’s a very valid point, but one that you can easily overcome when making a video slideshow. You can add a simple, non-distracting watermark that shows off your untouched images, while also adding your logo to your video.

This let’s your audience enjoy your imagery as well as demonstrate proper ownership. If you end up selling a video to a client, one click removes the watermark from your entire show and you can publish a watermark-free version for your clients to enjoy.

Add a Sitemap
Usability is so important. You must install a sitemap plug-in. I suggest using the PS Auto Sitemap. It’s easy to install. You may have a monthly archive in your blog sidebar – it’s not user friendly – all it tells me how many articles you’ve created in a month. Blog readers are lazy. Help your blog readers out. You must be more concise.

A sitemap is the index of your website. A good site map is displayed in logical order to make it easier for you. Google loves Sitemaps too. The search engines can crawl your content faster and it’s a win-win situation for everyone.

Let’s hit the Public.
We all know that there are whole world out of the virtual world. Use paint and scratch tools to promote your blog. The public places are the best area to advertise your blog. Hundreds of people walk along these ways and you can catch some serious reader by advertise on this area.

Scratch walls. Scratch public Toilets. Paint in awesome styles.

Paint those walls and Scratch those roofs. Display your blog around so they will inject something into their heads before leaving. Go around the street with your painting tools and advertise in style. I think there is no need to tell you much about it. But make sure you don’t get behind the bars for destroying the public property

Scratch on Buses. Now that’s a moving advertisement. Ain’t they? Stick your home made stickers and draw some ad for yourself on buses and trains to grab some travelling people.
