Best Addons for Firefox Must Install

On this page, you will find the best Firefox addons for all your browsing needs. We’ve taken the effort to categorize all of the Firefox addons and picked only those we believe to be the best ones and which will most likely be useful to you. This page updates frequently, so make sure to check back often to discover new addons!

LastPass
I used to use KeePass, but I just like LastPass better. It did a great job of importing (and then removing) my Firefox stored passwords, and its secure password creation tool makes using different passwords on new sites a snap. The web interface is a great way to manage my logins and groups.

Febe
As with anything else on your computer, it's never a bad idea to back up your Firefox install. FEBE will back up everything - extensions, themes, bookmarks - or just what you choose, and you can set up an automated schedule. It's also got integrated Box.net support, which is actually a fairly nice way to roll-you-rown manual Firefox syncing.

iMacros
It can do just about everything, when it comes to automating a task. If you’re developing from the browser a lot, it can take away the strain of having to type the same thing over and over again. Just make a macro, and it’s done. It’s also great for scraping and gathering together data, things which might require separate scripting otherwise. iMacros was designed to automate the most repetitious tasks on the web. If there’s an activity you have to do repeatedly, just record it in iMacros. The next time you need to do it, the entire macro will run at the click of a button! With iMacros, you can quickly and easily fill out web forms, remember passwords, create a webmail notifier, download information from other sites, scrape the Web (get data from multiple sites), and more. You can keep the macros on your computer for your own use, or share them with others by embedding them on your homepage, blog, company Intranet or any social bookmarking service. The uses are limited only by your imagination!

Adblock Plus
Gets rid of annoying adverts and auto-playing videos. You can subscribe to filter subscriptions in dozens of languages which can  automatically configure it for purposes ranging from removing online advertising to blocking all known malware domains.

Screengrab
To quickly capture an entire web page, Screengrab is a great tool. It can save or copy an entire page, the visible portion, or a rectangular selection. If I don't actually need to print a page, Screengrab is an easy, environmentally friendly way for me to keep a copy of it.

Xmarks
Want an addon that will sync your bookmarks across multiple browsers? How about one that will tell you the popularity of a site, how many bookmarks it’s received from other users and additional information about that site? If this sounds like something you want, Xmarks is the addon for you. This powerful extension brings a huge amount of customization to your bookmarks and will even back them up and sync them with multiple browsers.

Pearltrees
Pearltrees has browser extensions and add-ons for Chrome, Firefox, Safari, and Internet Explorer. You can use the Safari bookmarklet or your iPads and iPhones. You can even use it with the humble email. These help you do the spadework of collecting links and other content you want to bookmark and share. The Pearlers are the one-click tool for collecting, organizing, and sharing your content across the web. We are taking the Pearltrees Chrome extension for a run around the web and examining if it helps us to manage information overload better.

All these situations are unpredictable and losing form data or long written email paragraphs is a high risk so, I keep installed Lazarus on Firefox.
